Tarik Kurspahic is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Personal (www.personal.com), a digital life management platform that gives individuals the tools to build a private, personal network using data vaults to easily organize and securely share the details of their lives. As CTO, Tarik manages the company’s platform architecture, security and operations. He has architected and built tech platforms and websites for the last 15 years.

Tarik was previously CTO of The Map Network, founded in 1999, which built a platform for places and events to create, own and distribute digital maps and content via web and mobile. The Map Network served as the official map of over 100 cities and thousands of events and venues ranging from the NFL Super Bowl to the Democratic and Republican political conventions to the Smithsonian Museum. Their interactive map of the relief and rescue efforts in New York was the most used online map of 9/11. In 2006, NAVTEQ acquired The Map Network, and, in 2008, Nokia acquired NAVTEQ. Tarik continued in his role with The Map Network team through these acquisitions until he and the team co-founded Personal in 2009.
