Prevent Human Trafficking
Founder & CEO
Washington D.C. Metro Area
Christina is a social entrepreneur and tech enthusiast, passionate about social justice. She founded Prevent Human Trafficking (PHT) in 1999 to address this heinous phenomenon, rampant in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia - and now the US. Christina Arnold's professional trajectory was driven by her upbringing in South and Southeast Asia where she encountered exploited children daily. Christina has worked passionately for human rights since she moved to the U.S. at age 20.

Since then, she has raised over $ 2M for grassroots partner organizations & taken more than 100 students (of all ages) to Southeast Asia every summer to learn about human trafficking issues first hand. Her expertise has contributed to policy and legislative change, such as the passage of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000. Christina is passionate about empowering individuals, organizations and governments to tackle the root causes of human trafficking through direct support, technical assistance and using transmedia to document and promote their work. PHT uses its expertise and networks to promote best practice and inspire sustainable solutions in the movement to prevent human trafficking.

Christina is a Reynolds Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship, Harry S. Truman Scholar and a Jack Kent Cooke Scholar. She is a graduate of NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), holds a Masters in Nonprofit management and Bachelors in Political Science from American University.
